It was held in Iceland, last 25-29 March, the Intercultural Integration Academy organized by the Council of Europe (Intercultural Cities Programme: https://www.coe.int/en/web/interculturalcities/), the Ministry of Social Affairs of Iceland and UNHCR.
The Academy was focused on intercultural competence for social workers, municipal officials and police officers, being shared good practices by experts of several countries, in sessions held in different locations of Iceland (Reykjavik, Akureyri and Reyðarfjörður). Mónica Diniz, Head of Prevention, Security and International Relations Division of the Lisbon Municipal Police (LMP), shared the Community Policing model developed in Lisbon as a good practice of articulation in partnership between the Police, social partners and residents, as well as the Project CCI- Cutting Crime Impact, as an example of an international partnership that the LMP participates together with other countries developing new tools on crime prevention, namely on Community Policing.
