CCI Project: Part of the Digital German Prevention Congress

Author: Margo Molkenbur, German Prevention Congress (DPT)

Just like last year, the CCI project was extensively involved in the German Prevention Congress, the world’s largest annual conference on the topic of crime prevention and related prevention areas.

This year's 26th German Prevention Congress with the 14th Annual International Forum (AIF) took place digitally from May 10 - 11. During this event, approximately 1200 congress participants gathered in the DPT Foyer, an exclusive part of the DPT website and the digital core of this year's congress, (open from February 15 to September 30 and accessible to all those who have registered). From the DPT Foyer a wide variety of formats and numerous German- and English-language lectures were attended, contacts were made, and individual programme points were live-streamed and viewed with simultaneous translations.

The CCI project was represented with an English-language lecture on "Human-centred Design for LEA Innovation", a workshop in German language on the tool "PATROL - Polizeiliches Analystool zur Recherche und Organisation von Lageinformationen im Einsatz- und Streifendienst“, a German-language lecture on the path of subjective security, dealing with the tool "INSIGHT - Einblicke in subjektive Sicherheit", and a poster on the CCI project, which among other things showed the CCI Insecurity LifeCycle Model with a more sophisticated approach to conceptualising feelings of insecurity.

While the recordings of all congress contributions are currently only available to congress attendees, they will be made publicly available in October. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the DPT Congress, Margo Molkenbur ([email protected]) would be pleased to hear from you.
