The CCI project was presented by the Lisbon Municipal Police, Lisbon City Council, one of the LEAs, partners of the project, at the conference "Segurança Urbana - Os Municípios e a Proteção do Espaço Público" (Urban Safety - The Municipalities and the Protection of the Public Space).
In this event, held in the city of Coimbra, from 31 January to 2 February, Mónica Diniz, Head of the Prevention, Security and International Relations, of the Lisbon Municipal Police, presented the communication "Community Policing in Lisbon: Coproduction of Security at the Local Level", in the working group "Policing of Proximity in Strategy of Internal Security "and spoke about the H2020 CCI project, as an international partnership developing innovative toolkits on community policing, predictive policing, crime prevention through urban design and planning, and in measuring and mitigating citizens' feelings of insecurity.
The conference had about 300 participants who had the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences, with relevance to the role of local authorities in crime prevention in urban areas.
