DesignLabs are structured around human-centred design and design thinking practice in the product, service and experience design sector. A DesignLab protocol will be developed for the four Designlabs to be held over the course of the project. The protocol will discuss the DesignLab processes from the development of results identified from each of the LEA’s requirement capture research,- understanding ideas and key themes to evaluating them.
The CCI project collected examples of practical toolkits related to the four focus areas of the CCI project. These toolkits were analysed further to identify strategies for maximising uptake and utilising of toolkits developed to support LEA practices.
This deliverable introduces the CCI project, details the methodology employed to review the Cordis database, gives an overview of relevant projects identified and an in-depth analysis of information collected from the selected projects and ends with lessons and a conclusion.
An online survey developed key concepts in the four areas covered by the CCI Project:
1. Predictive policing
2. Community policing
3. Crime Prevention through Urban Design and Planning (CP-UDP)
4. Measuring and mitigating citizens’ feelings of insecurity
A draft CCI glossary of terms communicating the key concepts related to the Prevention, Investigation and Mitigation (PIM) of high impact petty crime. A final glossary of common language around concepts of the CCI Project will be delivered in Month 36.
